-]DES[-, short for Double-Edged Sword, is a Christian gaming fellowship (clan) devoted to spreading the life-changing message of Jesus Christ, and to the edification, or 'building up', of His saints (Christians). We honor the commandment to present Christians 'perfect' (mature) in Christ, and we do this by the study and application of His Word, the Bible.
We believe that gaming with other believers allows us to release the stress of everyday life, talk to each other about our Christian walk, and strengthen each other's faith in God. By providing a clean and family-friendly environment on our servers, we open the door for ministry and helping the lost to find the Way to eternal life through the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
The name was taken from Hebrews 4:12. The Word of God is alive and more powerful than any weapon. We would never go into a battle without a weapon, and the Word of God is the Christian's weapon for spiritual warfare. It seemed a good name for a clan, too, so we kept it.
-]DES[- was started by six different Generals, they were original member of the MenOfGod Spearhead clan. They, including Holywater, left the clan due to problems within the ranks. They wanted to start a clan that was God-honoring, a Christian clan that was different than most, with the ability to have fun and grow relationships in Christ. Several other clan members joined soon thereafter, including Scamp, Italians4Christ, SP/4, One-Eye, Nehemiah, Laus_Deo, and BuzzardBait. Several years have past and -]DES[- is now an even larger and ever-growing fellowship, with over 60 members spanning the entire United States, Canada, and other countries.
We have three servers, Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare, BF2/AIX2 server, and Medal of Honor Spearhead. We also have a public TeamSpeak server. You can get the IP addresses of all of our servers on the Homepage.
