Our Statement of Faith
Download PDF- We believe God is the creator of all things. He is eternal, powerful, all knowing (Omnipotent), and everywhere at one time (Omnipresent), and all-seeing (Omniscient).
- We believe God reveals Himself as three distinct persons of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (the Holy Trinity) being united in nature and substance as the one true, Almighty God.
- We believe Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and died for the sins of all humanity. He was crucified on a cross, died, buried, descended into hades and won victory over death. He rose on the third day and ascended into heaven. He is seated at the Father's right hand and shall return at the appointed time to establish the Kingdom of God on earth.
- We believe and recognize the deity of Jesus Christ being both fully Man and fully God who is deserving of great honor, glory, reverence and worship of which every knee shall bow.
- We believe the Holy Spirit is our Comforter and Teacher promised by Jesus Christ, who lives inside of us, guiding in all truth. We further believe His power and gifts are available to all believers today.
- We believe the Bible is inspired BY God, and it is the infallible and authoritative Word of God. It contains His plan of salvation for mankind and is the foundation of wisdom. It is the final authority and guide over faith, life, truth, and hope.
- We believe salvation IS the deliverance from the bondage of sins both past, present, AND future. Our salvation is NOT attained by works (neither our own, nor works of others on our behalf), but by faith alone in the voluntary sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary for our atonement to God with the assurance of eternal life.
- We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; The saved to the resurrection of eternal life with Christ in heaven, and the lost to separation from Christ and eternal damnation in hell.
- We believe that by grace we are saved through faith; and not of any act we have done ourselves. It IS the gift from God and NOT a result of works, lest any man boast. Ephesians 2:8,9
- We believe Christians are people acting in faith who accept only Jesus Christ as their Savior and in whom the Holy Spirit lives inside creating the new birth. This new birth is a new life, which follows the footsteps of Jesus Christ and shows the Christian fruits of the Holy Spirit as evidence, which produces a change of heart and the start of a new life in Christ.
- We believe that baptism is an outward expression of an inward change and testimony of our life surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ by faith; being symbolic of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We ourselves symbolize through immersion the putting to death and burial our old nature, and being raised up to a new life in Christ.
- We believe all Christians have various callings from God, and are given spiritual gifts to fulfill and accomplish His will.
Officer's Creed
I, (your name), hereby accept this commission as an Officer in the Double-Edged Sword Clan (-]DES[-), on behalf of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I understand completely the duties of my position, and do solemnly affirm that I will perform the same to the utmost of my abilities by the grace of Almighty God. I shall always seek to improve the skills and situations of those who have been entrusted to my command. I will eternally work to present each of those under me perfect (mature) in Christ as instructed by the Word of God (Col 1:28).
Gallantly will I lead my troops onto the battlefield - ready, willing, and able to hear and obey all commands from their officer and NCO's. I will prove to others that I am more than worthy of the position to which I have been elected. I will become worthy of my title on the battlefield, because of my strength of character, quick decisiveness, superb tactical maneuvers, and clear but concise communication with my team of Soldiers.
I will keep myself morally pure, mentally alert, and Biblically strong, so that I may be an example for others to follow. I will always be ready to answer any questions about the hope that is given me by my Lord Jesus Christ, as instructed by Holy Scripture (I Peter 3:15). I shall always choose my words carefully and thoughtfully before I speak, because I recognize the power of life and death that they hold (Proverbs 18:21). I will be a humble example of servitude, submission, and Godliness, just as our Lord Jesus Christ was. I will seek to glorify God in all of my actions (1 Cor 10:31), and will never do anything to willfully bring hurt to the cause of Christ by my actions.
I shall not place Double-Edged Sword (-]DES[-) ahead of or before the divine order of God, Family, or Career, although I realize the importance of this clan to bring unsaved souls into eternal salvation by a personal knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that the same is -]DES[- Clan's ultimate Creed and Mission.
Thus, I now make a covenant with God and my fellow brothers and sisters of -]DES[-, that I accept the aforementioned and shall execute the same to my utmost for the glory of Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit of God.
Should there come a time when I am unable to fully and properly discharge the duties and responsibilities of this office, I shall inform the chain of command accordingly.
NCO's Creed
No one is more professional than I. I am a Noncommissioned officer, a leader of soldiers. As a Noncommissioned Officer I realize that I have been charged by the Lord my God and the leaders of -]DES[- Clan to accomplish this task.
I am proud of the Corp of Noncommissioned Officers and will at all times conduct myself so as to bring credit upon the corps, -]DES[- Clan, and the Word of God which I represent in my Christian walk and mission to lead souls to salvation. I shall not use my Grade or position to attain pleasure, profit or personal safety.
Competence is my watchword; my two basic responsibilities will always be upper most in my mind - Accomplishment of my mission (the salvation of souls), and the Welfare of my Soldiers. I will strive to be proficient in all aspects of both the Word of God and the procedures of -]DES[- Clan so as to properly lead my Soldiers. I am aware of my responsibilities as a Noncommissioned Officer; I will fulfill my responsibilities inherent in that role. All soldiers are entitled to outstanding Leadership; I will provide that leadership. I will communicate clearly and consistently with both my soldiers and the senior officers of -]DES[- Clan, so as to promote a good flow of information and never leave my Soldiers uninformed. As a non commissioned Officer of -]DES[- Clan I attest to being washed in the blood of Jesus Christ Himself and to have no other Gaming commitments to other Organizations. This is necessary so as to give my soldiers, -]DES[- Clan, and God the focus they need and deserve.
Officers of -]DES[- Clan will have maximum time to accomplish their duties; they will not have to accomplish mine. I will earn their respect as well as that of my Soldiers. I will be loyal to those with whom I serve: seniors, peers, and subordinates alike. I will exercise initiative by taking the appropriate action in the absence of orders, and as always in the absence of orders, consult God in prayer for His guidance. I will not compromise my integrity, my moral courage, or the word of the Lord my God as shown in the Bible. I will not forget, nor will I allow my fellow NCO's to forget, that we are professionals. Leaders. Non-commissioned Officers.
