This section describes how the ranks are set up and how to progress through them. Ranking is not tied to any specific game or achievement.
Military rank is more than just who salutes whom. Military rank is a badge of leadership. Responsibility for personnel, equipment, and mission grows with each increase in rank.

Non-commissioned officers, or NCOs, are the sergeants of the clan. They act as leaders in their squads and serve as a link between the enlisted men and the officer corps. Your NCOs are experienced gamers and leaders, and they will always assist you, both in and out of the game.
Offices are the top-level leadership of the clan. Platoon officers serve as leaders for their squads and platoons. Headquarters officers typically serve in specialized leadership roles such as game server, web server, and forum administration; forum moderation; communication with other clans; development and enforcement of clan policy; and management of the clan as a whole.
All ranks are subject to modification and approval by the Officer Corps. You can ask to be promoted if you feel you have met the requirements of the next rank, but it is your squad leader's decision on whether or not to promote you.
Squad leaders may also initiate the promotion process. In this case, the squad leader will always follow the procedures specified here, and will keep both you and the officers informed.
The process described in this section outline the minimum requirements for promotion. Typically, we will initiate a clan-wide promotion process once or twice a year in which all active members will receive a boost in rank. (Corporals, senior NCOs, and Officers may not be automatically included in this process as they may already be at the top of their existing rank structures.)
NCO ranks are achieved by demonstrating merit and leadership skills. Appointments to NCO ranks are made at the discretion of the Squad Leaders and Officer Corps.
